Grading Policy

We all want students to learn. While time management and study skills are taught, they are not part of the academic grade. With this in mind Honors Class has the following grading guidelines:

Any assignment may be revisited and improved to show increased learning (and increase a grade).

Classroom tests may be retaken to show increased learning (and raise the grade from previous test).

Late assignments will be given full credit.

Once a quarter has ended it may still be possible to change a grade, but only with approval of the front office.

Missing assignments are automatically given a 50% score instead of a zero. Mathematically this is   a more accurate assessment of a student's learning.
