A Short Finnish Folk Tale

We had three versions of this. Each version had different students reading different parts. Alas, only one of my recording attempts was successful:

Virtual Gravity Powered Derby Race

The 5th grade reading class really got into the spirit of this race.  They had to design a track 3 feet long and 10 inches tall to race their cars on.  During the class Webex session, each car was timed by Mr. Pantera.  These are pictures of the participants from last place to first (the difference from last to first was only 94 hundredth of a second!):

They were trying to get a feel for how the main character of the story "Spit Nolan" might have felt when he raced his downhill cart.
